Which debt solutions fit my numbers?
Every debt solution has its own tests and trade-offs. Enter a few figures to see them all side by side for where you live — then, if you want, ask an authorised adviser to go through them with you.

How to read the results
Each route has a few main tests — limits on debt, income or assets, or practical conditions such as needing more than one creditor. Being within the tests does not mean a route is right for you, and being outside one does not mean you have no options. Costs, how long it takes, what happens to your home and car, your job and your credit file all matter, and some of those depend on details this tool cannot see.
Free help is always available
You never have to pay for debt advice, and free advice providers can set up Debt Management Plans, Debt Relief Orders and Breathing Space at no cost. If you ask for a review, we pass your details to an FCA-authorised debt advice firm, and tell you who it is before anything is shared. How we make money explains how we are paid.
Compare in more depth
The solution comparison puts every route on the same nine criteria, and the head-to-head comparisons go deeper on the common choices.
You never have to pay for debt advice. MoneyHelper (government-backed), StepChange, National Debtline and Citizens Advice all give free, confidential advice with no obligation.
Common questions
Which debt solution is best?
There is no single best solution. It depends on how much you owe, your spare income, your assets, whether you own your home and where you live. Free advisers and authorised debt advisers can go through your situation with you.
Does this tool tell me if I qualify?
No. It shows where your figures sit against each route's main published tests. Only an approved intermediary or authorised adviser can confirm whether a solution is available and suitable.
What happens if I ask for a review?
We pass your contact details and the ranges shown in your result to an authorised debt adviser, who will contact you. It is free and you are under no obligation.
